Paediatric First Aid

Who's it for?

This course is aimed at anyone who works in a registered setting with 0-14 year olds, child minding, playgroups, nurseries and out of school settings.

The Onelife Paediatric First Aid Course provides participants with a comprehensive range of skills to enable them to respond calmly and confidently in the event of a child becoming unwell or injuring themselves.

Paediatric First Aid - Course Content:

Unconscious patient
Burns and scalds
Bones, joints & muscle injuries
Childhood conditions
Treatment of head injuiries
Choking, Epilepsy, Diabeties
Wounds, bleeding
Poisoning, bites & stings
Effects of Heat & Cold
Foreign Objects
Adult, Child, Baby CPR
Action in an Emergency
Written & practical assessment

How long?

Two days - 12 Hours (might not be consecutive days, please see dates below) When booking Saturday Courses you need to select Paediatric Day 1 and Day 2.

Qualification:

Paediatric First aid certificate valid for three years, matches all Sure start criteria.
